BQ-610是一个很有效的ET-A受体拮抗剂，对ET-A受体的选择性比ET-B受体的高30000倍。此外，研究发现BQ-610强烈的拮抗猪冠状动脉中ET-1的诱发浓度，pA2=8.2。
